Four Men Arrested on Drug Charges
Four men have been arrested by the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office after the execution of a search warrant. Based upon evidence gathered during an earlier investigation by the sheriff’s office Drug Task Force, a search warrant was obtained for a house with the address of 202 West Hood Street, Lancaster. At approximately 7:00 p. m. last Friday, June 24, 2016, agents of the sheriff’s office Drug Task Force, the Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT), and uniformed deputies along with State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) agents and Lancaster Police Department officers moved on the house. Bobrentay LevelleJackson, age 24, of Lancaster, and Byron Laqentin Stevens, age 26,of Lancaster, ran from the house and were quickly caught by task force agents. Ernest Wadell Crosby, age 50, of Lancaster, and Korickio Tonquavius Cunningham, age 20, of Lancaster, were taken into custody at the house.
The house was thoroughly searched,and substances suspected to be cocaine, crack cocaine, and marijuana were located in multiple bags and containers. Approximately 28 grams of cocaine, 14 grams of crack cocaine, and 563 grams or 20 ounces of marijuana were seized. Three sets of digital scales and multiple containers of empty plastic bags were also recovered. A 9 mm rifle,two assault weapon drum magazines, three handgun magazines, and various ammunition were seized. Jackson also had $1,528.00 on his person which was seized. Each of the men is charged with Trafficking Cocaine and Trafficking Crack Cocaine 10-28 grams, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Violent Crime (Trafficking Cocaine and Crack Cocaine). Additional drug charges will be made on Jackson and Stevens relating to the earlier investigation. Photographs of the four are attached.
Sheriff Barry Faile said, “Based upon the intelligence gathered during this investigation, we knew this was a high risk operation. We prepared well and executed the warrant flawlessly and without any injuries to anyone. All suspects were captured, and a substantial quantity of illegal drugs was taken off the streets. I appreciate the professionalism of all officers involved in this operation and the assistance of SLED and the Lancaster Police Department.”
