Suspect Charged with Trafficking Marijuana
Jonathan Ryan Hardin, age 25, of 1869 Shelton Street, Lancaster, was arrested this morning, Friday, April 29, 2016, and charged with Trafficking Marijuana More than 10 but less than 100 Pounds. In a joint operation between the United States Postal Service and drug agents and investigators of the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, a search warrant was obtained for Hardin’s home and was served today. Hardin was present at the home. A package was recovered containing approximately ten pounds of suspected marijuana. Agents also found another package on the property which contained approximately three pounds of what is believed to be marijuana. Agents also seized prescription medication for which Hardin had no prescription and three shotguns. Hardin is also charged with Possession of a Prescription Medication without a Prescription and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Violent Crime. Trafficking Marijuana is a violent crime. Attached are photographs of Hardin and the marijuana.
“Based upon information shared between the postal inspector and the sheriff’s office, we were able to get a search warrant for the home, take 13 pounds of high grade marijuana off the market, and put Hardin in jail,” said Sheriff Barry Faile.
