Suspects Charged with Drug and Weapon Violations
Lancaster, SC (Friday12/13/2013) –On 12/04/2013 Sheriff’s Deputies went to the Carriage Inn located on Main St. in Lancaster searching for a wanted person. While on scene deputies observed two men, Reco Hayden ( Address: 1121 White Oak Ln. Lancaster) and Lamarr Moore ( Address: 500 Glenwood Ave. Lancaster) acting suspicious. When deputies approached the men they began to run. Additional Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office and Officers from the City Police Dept.responded to the area. After a foot chase both subjects were apprehended in the wooded area behind K-Mart. Hayden had Crack Cocaine in his possession. Moore had a handgun, Crack Cocaine, cash, and digital scales in his possession. The approximate street value of the seized crack cocaine was $1,500.
Both subjects were arrested and jailed at the Lancaster County Detention Center. Both subjects were charged with Trafficking Crack Cocaine. Moore was also charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm, Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bond has been denied for both Hayden and Moore. If convicted, they could face up to 25 years on the Trafficking charge.
Sheriff Faile said, “These officers did a great job catching these two individuals. Drugs and illegal weapons have always been a priority for our agency and we are happy to get them off the street. Job Well Done.”
